You may not want to show your dog, HOWEVER, you should want to purchase your dog from a breeder who does show. If a dog is a Champion. it tells you a lot about the quality and nature of the dog. For instance, a beautiful Lagotto that is shy will not become a Champion show dog (shyness is very much an inherited trait). Breeders that don't breed for classic, correct Lagotto temperament and characteristics don't have Champions. When showing dogs, you are held to a very high standard by other breeders and peers from around the world. Wanting the best for these amazing dogs, we all inspire each other through continuing education, cooperation, and sharing our experiences.
